Strange ship

Yes, this is a ship...

It is the Navys X-band radar ship (according to the local newspaper). It is actually a self-propelled platform which tracks objects.

I haven't posted on Blogger in forever... I'm more of a picture person...and I love your photos! :)

We call that platform thing "The Navy's golf ball". It comes in and out of port periodically for supplies and repairs. Scared a lot of people when it first arrived (last year sometime). I had a clear view of it from my old place in upper Pearl City. Got some nice photos too.
